Resident Artist 2, No.2: Window Pain
Blood red wash
hues out to vibrant
orange glow
of cluttered
dew. Dissipating
fog stretches
like fluffed
sheets of fresh
cotton tickling
the landscape
as its private canvas,
careening to Earth’s
every crevice. Morning
awakes beyond
it’s color show, off
in the distance,
laid out
charcoal spikes
as we witness
but not watch
erosion prove
violent. Life
is believable
above the clouds.
Up in some
sort of heaven
is where
I prefer,
but as of now
I will settle
for my
window seat.
